50th Anniversary of Winfield Good Old Days!
The Winfield Good Old Days will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year! Winfield historians say that the festival started with the fire department hosting barrel water fights and serving steamed corn on the cob. The dates for this year’s festival are Friday, September 8th thru Sunday, September 10th. Festivities take place at the intersection of Beecher and Church streets. Live entertainment will take place in the Lion’s tent; food will be cooked up and served by local clubs and restaurants; and the parade will take place on Sunday at 1 PM. Event is organized by a 100% volunteer effort with the cooperation of the Winfield Lions Club, St. John's Knights of Columbus, Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce, Winfield Park District, and the Village of Winfield. |
