Warrenville Community Information Seminar on Heroin & Fentanyl

Nationwide, there has been an alarming increase in the number of overdose incidents and deaths contributed to the influx of Fentanyl, a synthetic opiate derivative. Unfortunately, Warrenville has experienced a number of these incidents.  In order to provide information to the public, and especially to families with loved ones that may be suffering from abuse or addiction to opiates, the Warrenville Police Department will be hosting a Community Informational Seminar on Heroin and Fentanyl, Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 28W701 Stafford Place.

The seminar will be moderated by the Warrenville Police Department, with subject matter experts from the Illinois State Police presenting information on heroin, fentanyl, and other opiates.  Additionally, representatives from Warrenville Youth and Family Services (WYFS) and Rosecrans (a not-for-profit addiction treatment center) will be presenting information on social services, treatment, and intervention. A question and answer session will follow the presentations.

This seminar is free of charge, but seating is limited. If you are interested in attending, please email Police Administrative Assistant Laura Schwarting at lschwarting@warrenville.il.us

Please don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable information and possibly prevent a senseless loss of life due to addiction.
