  • Thursday, February 15, 7 pm - March Primary Elections and Issues Facing Illinois - Kerry Lester, a Chicago-based author and award-winning journalist, will discuss the major issues facing our state, providing guidance on how to evaluate candidate positions before casting your ballot on March 20.
  • Thursday, March 22, 7 pm- Is the ERA dead? Does Gender Still Matter in Politics? - Michelle Fadeley, president of the Illinois state chapter of the National Organization for Women, will speak on the status and future of the Equal Rights Amendment in Illinois.
  • Thursday, April 19, 7 pm - Impact of Environmental Policy on Our Community - Dale Bryson, who worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for 34 years, will discuss the growing importance and impact of environmental issues now facing voters.
Programs are free (including parking) but advance registration is required. Online sign-up is through the League of Women Voters and limited to 100 attendees per event. Register at www.wheatonlwvil.org.

Q&A and social time will follow each presentation. A cash bar will be available, and complimentary coffee and dessert served. Tram service is provided between the Cantigny Visitors Center and McCormick House.

Cantigny is open weekends in February (Friday-Sunday) and for special events. The park resumes regular seven-day operations on March 1. More information is posted online at Cantigny.org.
