DEVELOPER BUYS OFFICEMAX HQ, PLANS OVERHAULLast month, Crain's Chicago Business reported that Franklin Partners, a suburban developer, is taking on the vacant former OfficeMax headquarters in Naperville with a plan to revamp the building and lease it to a slew of tenants. The sale comes three years after OfficeMax moved out of the 354,000 square-foot office building at 263 Shuman Blvd. "We're bringing a new type of Class-A building into the market that is amenity-driven," said Franklin Partners Ray Warner.
