West Chicago, Illinois: October 16, 2019 – The City of West Chicago has rolled out a new interactive web application to help residents and developers gain more insight on property located within the City. The tool is yet another way in which the City is becoming more proactive in attracting quality investment and development opportunities, and providing a value-added benefit to the City’s website.
The new zoning look-up web application, What’s the Zoning, allows a user to query a property by address or PIN to find out how it is zoned, or if it lies in a Planned Unit Development (PUD) or zoning overlay district. The web application is delivered via ESRI ArcGIS Online technology and is free for all users looking for this information on the City’s website. The What’s the Zoning web application adds to the City’s many other mapping web applications that can be found on the City’s Mapping Portal.
For questions or comments about the What’s the Zoning app, please contact GIS Coordinator, Vicki Hynes.
