On March 16, 2020, Mayor Brummel declared a local state of emergency for the City of Warrenville. This Declaration will allow the City to take measures to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Primarily, the declaration enables the city to receive potential federal and state disaster funding and allows for greater flexibility in staffing and work schedules to maintain essential services.
Current measures include: suspending all non-essential public meetings (not including Committee or City Council meetings); postponing the Arbor Day event, and suspending the use of City meeting rooms by the public through April 30. ACORN van rides, for medical purposes only, will continue through March 22. Beginning March 23, the ACORN van program will be suspended entirely until further notice.
