Updates from District 200We thank all of our families and staff for their efforts to continue learning through our E-Learning plans. We know that the transition from the traditional school day to e-learning comes with new challenges. Keeping a routine, while allowing for a balance in your child's day is important. The resources below provide insights and strategies for establishing routines and allowing for some fun brain breaks throughout the day. Keep a routine with kids at home Additionally, there is a video series geared toward caregivers and parents that will focus on helping families manage crisis in a healthy and constructive way. Led by Dr. Nancy Zarse, an expert in the field of crisis and resilience from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, this series will help parents and caregivers with coping skills to help families during this crisis, and how to harness the power of community to help children continue to thrive. This event is open to all. The series will also provide a guide to all resources in DuPage County that can provide assistance to families as we navigate this crisis together. The first live stream event will take place Wednesday, March 25 at 6:30 p.m., and can be accessed at this link. Other Resources Do you need access to basic necessities or food? Call the District Office at 630-682-2000, leave a message and we’ll get back to you. Mobile Food Pantries Wednesday, April 1 from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. at Johnson Elementary Tuesday, April 7 from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. at Wheaton North HS Mobile pantries will be a drive-thru format. Social distancing practices will be followed. |
