On June 19, 2021, Support Over Stigma and Military Outreach USA are hosting PTSD vs. Moral Injury ~ Unmasking the Truth. Major General (ret.) James Mukoyama will be the keynote speaker at this free event which is being held at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, Illinois. Veteran- owned businesses, organizations highlighting Veteran/first responder programming and resources will be featured. There will also be a DJ, food trucks and more.
Most of us have heard the number 22+ a day, referring to the number of Veterans who take their own life, but did you know that Active-Duty suicides are up 20% across the branches (Military Times 9/29/20) or that over 100 firefighters and paramedics and over 200 police officers (Blue H.E.L.P.) took their own life last year?
Join us for a day of Hope and Healing. The event is open to the public. We encourage you to come, bring family members and friends. A lawn chair or blanket is recommended, and you can bring a cooler (no alcohol).
