SUPPORT DU PAGE FOREST PRESERVES ON #GIVINGTUESDAY NOV. 30

Keep your #GivingTuesday donation local this Nov. 30 by contributing a gift to DuPage forest preserves through the Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County.

As an added incentive, an anonymous donor has agreed to match #GivingTuesday donations to the Friends of the Forest Preserve District up to $3,000.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County provides many ways to support the DuPage Forest Preserve District and its work to restore habitat and conserve rare, threatened and endangered wildlife.

Give a cash gift. Gifts of cash are one of the easiest, most convenient ways to contribute. Donors can give by credit card online at dupageforest.org/donate or by check made payable to the Friends of the Forest Preserve District and mailed to 3S580 Naperville Road, Wheaton, IL 60189.

Ask your employer to match your gift. Some employers match donor gifts — even a spouse’s — doubling or tripling the value. The Friends provides documentation to support matching-gift programs.

Make a tribute. Celebrate an important person in your life by making a cash gift in honor or memory of a loved one.

Shop AmazonSmile. Support the Friends when holiday shopping on Amazon. Start out shopping at smile.amazon.com, log in, and then make the Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County your preferred charity. The AmazonSmile Foundation will give back 0.5% of your total purchase on eligible Amazon products to support DuPage forest preserves.

Become a community partner. Businesses and civic groups can sponsor DuPage forest preserves and District programs as a community partner. The Friends offers a package containing marketing exposure and visibility to over 6.2 million people who visit the forest preserves each year. “We appreciate the support of generous donors who value the preserves as much as we do,” said Friends Board Chair Diane Addante. “We are so very fortunate to have such rich outdoor spaces to enjoy, in these times like no other. Thanks to our community for always stepping up to help maintain our outstanding preserves.”
