WEGO DRAMA PRESENTS SOMETHING "WRONG" ON STAGE



Wego Drama at West Chicago Community High School continues their 2022-2023 Season with The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong.  Based on the work of the Mischief Theatre, this hysterical comedy is an incredible event on stage.  The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society have come from Great Britain to present ‘The Murder at Haversham Manor’ manor.  During the show, somethings go terribly wrong.  Can they get through the show?  Discover the answer by seeing this frenetic production.   It is the perfect continuation of the Wego Drama season theme of “Discover Who You Are.”  Can something so wrong, be so right?  Yes, yes it can.

Junior Avery Moffatt, who plays the director, states, “The British murder mystery is an iconic style of theatre.  The Mischief Theatre Company has created a modern spin that is incredibly enjoyable.  It is pure comedy.”  Additionally, Arson Gutierrez continues, “It is such a funny show.  It is pushing everyone to try to do new things.  We are really having fun and hope the audience does, too.”  Junior Carolyn Fleming states, “This show is the first one by the Mischief Theatre.  It is great to bring their tradition to our stage.”  Finally, Junior Ryley Salazar states, “With all these elements, I never

know if I will make it through the show without cracking up.”

Mark Begovich directs the Wego Drama production. Technical Direction is by Christopher Jensen.  Hair and make-up is by Jaime Elza.

Please note, The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong is a highly physical play with moments of comedic violence.  Sensitive viewers should be aware.

Tickets are now on-sale at www.wegotheatre.com.  Tickets are $5 and adults are $8.  Performances are November 11 & 12 at 7pm.  All performances are at West Chicago Community High School, 326 Joliet St., West Chicago IL 60185.
