CIVIC AWARENESS SERIES EXAMINES CLIMATE ACTION PLAN

The Robert R. McCormick House at Cantigny Park, and the League of Women Voters of Wheaton announce an online presentation in their acclaimed Civic Awareness Series on Thursday, April 14, at 7 pm CT.

Edith Makra, Director of Environmental Initiatives, Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, will provide an overview of the Climate Action Plan for the Chicago Region, published in 2021. She was a lead author of the plan and developed the Greenest Region Compact, a consensus sustainability pledge.

Tim Milburn, managing partner at Green Ways 2Go, will focus on EV guidelines for cities. He is an advisor to the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus on

“Becoming EV Ready,” a program to help local governments navigate the policies, technologies, incentives, charging infrastructure and other challenges of a fast-growing EV market.
