After 17 years with the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA), Jorie is well known by WDSRA families and partners. She brings a wealth of experience to her new role encompassing general programming, special events, day programs, and her most recent work as part of the Development team.
Passionate about volunteering and professional growth, she has served on the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association (IPRA) Therapeutic Recreation section in a range of capacities including Board Director. Jorie has been recognized as a leader in the field for many years, garnering numerous professional awards and recognitions.
As Superintendent of Recreation, Jorie will be tasked with leading a talented group of professionals into the next chapter of WDSRA programs and services. Her vision is team-centric and rooted in values that align with the agency’s needs.
Jorie is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a BS in Recreation
Administration and an emphasis on Therapeutic Recreation and a minor in Psychology.
She resides in Warrenville with her husband Justin and 2 children. In her free time, Jorie enjoys playing volleyball and spending time with family.
