NAPCO STEEL, INC. (NAPCO), located at 1800 Arthur Drive in West Chicago, credits its long-held motto, “large enough to service, small enough to care”, for its longevity. The premiere steel-servicing center has been operating in West Chicago since it’s founding in 1976 and continues the tradition of service today.
“This is a marketplace milestone for NAPCO, and the City wishes to share its thanks and congratulations,” said Mayor Ruben Pineda. “This is a business to be celebrated.”
For 40 years, NAPCO has offered services for steel and aluminum products in every phase of the metals industry. A member of the Metals Service Center Institute, NAPCO has developed an extremely efficient system of quality-controlled steel processing. From purchasing to order processing, fabrication, trucking and even warehousing, NAPCO’s business model of providing top quality on-time steel servicing has earned it the ability to celebrate this significant business anniversary.
Another piece of the successful equation according to founder and owner Jack Napoli, has been keeping his employees’ job satisfaction a priority. “We operate on family values, and I treat my employees how I want to be treated,” he explains. “The average employee has been here twenty-seven years.”
He cites a company culture that engages its employees with the utmost dignity and respect; one which celebrates core values that include responsibility, integrity, dedication, commitment, and trust. He readily admits his employees are his company’s biggest asset, crediting their professionalism and experience for fewer mistakes and a higher level of service to his customers, which include other family-owned businesses from the Fox Valley and Chicagoland area, to global businesses.
He further explains that his company works hard to maintain its identity as a small business by not keeping an official appointment structure or voicemail. “I like to keep an open-door policy for all our customers and vendors”, Napoli said.
“The City of West Chicago is proud to have NAPCO in its business community, and wishes to thank Jack Napoli and his staff for the role they have played in helping to shape the community over these past 40 years through their ongoing investment and commitment as a local employer and solid corporate citizen. We would like to extend sincere best wishes for continued success and prosperity in West Chicago,” said Mayor Ruben Pineda.
