THURSDAY "SUMMER NIGHTS" SERIES: JULY EVENTS

Cantigny Park’s 65th summer is buzzing with adult-oriented fun nights every Thursday from 6 to 9 pm. The “Summer Nights” series debuted in June and features specialty cocktails, music and entertainment with a different main event or theme every week.

Besides Summer Nights on Thursdays, Cantigny is staging special Family Nights on Wednesdays (Inflatable Night, July 19, and Game Night, August 16), plus Moonlit Movies every Friday.

Also new for 2023, Cantigny is open until 10 pm, Wednesday through Sunday, all summer long.

Here’s the Summer Nights line-up for July:

Thursday, July 6
Shakespeare in the Park
Goodly Creatures Theatre presents “Love’s Labours Lost,” a lesser-known Shakespeare comedy, on the beautiful McCormick Allée. Bring a picnic and chairs to enjoy a cultural summer night! Specialty cocktail: The Cleopolitan. Beer and wine available, too, including refreshing Cantigny Kolsch, from 93 Octane Brewery in St. Charles.

• Thursday, July 13
Cantigny Summer Night’s Dream
An evening of enchantment is in store, combining the beauty of nature and the power of imagination. Stroll the summer gardens with a cool drink and enjoy magical performances featuring some of Shakespeare’s most famous fairies. Wine sampling stations will further enhance the night, along with the week’s specialty cocktail, the French 75.

• Thursday, July 20
Cocktails & Karaoke
Get a little crazy and sing along with Live Band Karaoke in the Tank Park! The Cantigny food and beverage team will offer three specialty cocktails: Orange Mule, Cucumber Cooler and Tequila Old Fashioned.

• Thursday, July 27
Camp Cantigny Adult Summer Camp
Go back in time for an evening of classic camp activities and eats! Enjoy an inflatable slip’n slide, bags, volleyball, badminton, a photo scavenger hunt, and campfire fun. You can even give axe throwing a try! Specialty cocktail: Orange Creamsicle.

Every edition of Summer Nights includes a choice of popular food trucks. Guests are welcome to bring picnics but not alcoholic beverages.

Tickets for Summer Nights are on sale now at Cantigny.org. Adults are $15 per person, seniors $12, and ages 15 and under free. Parking is included with ticket purchase, and all sales are final.

Cantigny Park is open only to ticket holders on Thursdays after 4 pm, with Summer Nights activities beginning at 6 pm.
