SEN. RICKETTS: PRO-GROWTH TAX POLICY

In partnership with the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Chamber recently hosted a tax roundtable in Omaha, Nebraska, with Sen. Pete Ricketts (R-NE) and local business leaders. This video shows highlights.

  • We’ve hosted 50+ tax roundtables with the goal of 100 by the end of the year.
  • These events give people around the country a chance to learn how pro-growth tax policies will help local businesses invest in people and communities.

Why it matters: The forward-looking tax policy in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create opportunities for workers and businesses to thrive.

What they have said:

  • Sen. Pete Ricketts (R-NE): “Because we have so many great provisions, companies will invest, whether it’s expensing for research and development, expensing for plant and equipment, or making sure small businesses don’t get hit with a tax increase. It means businesses will invest to create jobs, and that will be good for families.”
  • Ron Siwa, CFO, Roloff Construction: “The biggest thing will be the overtime and the commitment to what that’s going to put in place for our people who have been with us for so many years.”
  • Todd Bingham, President and CEO, Nebraska Chamber: “As businesses want to thrive and grow, giving them that certainty over the next 4, 8, 10, 12 years, they’ve got a path forward that they know they can invest in their businesses. They can invest in the community. They can hire more individuals.”

Where else we’ve been:

  • The U.S. Chamber partnered with the Hampton Roads Chamber to host a tax roundtable with Rep. Jen Kiggans (R-VA) and local business leaders to discuss how pro-growth tax policy helps the Hampton Roads, Virginia economy.
  • The U.S Chamber partnered with the Carson City Chamber to host a tax roundtable with Rep. Mark Amodei (R-NV) and local business leaders in Carson City, Nevada.
