Since 1976, WDSRA has been transforming lives through inclusive recreation—helping individuals of all ages and abilities discover their potential, build lifelong friendships, and find a true sense of belonging.
What started with a summer day camp and a bowling program has grown into 700+ programs each year serving children, teens, and adults across nine communities in DuPage County.

WDSRA’s legacy shines bright—twice earning the Gold Medal for Excellence in Programming and becoming the first special recreation association in Illinois to achieve Distinguished Accredited Agency status. But our greatest achievements are the lives we’ve touched and the communities we’ve built together.
