WDSRA is honored to recognize Jane Hodgkinson for her extraordinary contributions to disability advocacy and inclusive recreation. During a special celebration held February 12th, the Carol Stream Rec & Roll room - site of the very first Rec & Roll location - was dedicated the Jane Hodgkinson Rec & Roll Room.
This dedication reflects Jane’s 30 years of visionary leadership, her statewide advocacy efforts, and her steadfast commitment to ensuring Equal Fun for Everyone. Under her guidance, the Rec & Roll Adult Day Program was launched at a time when few adult day options existed. Today, Rec & Roll spans seven sites and supports more than 130 adults annually, serving as a model for community‑based adult programming across Illinois.
“Jane didn’t just lead WDSRA—she reshaped what was possible for adults with disabilities in our region,” said WDSRA Executive Director Dan Leahy. “This dedication ensures her vision continues to guide us for generations to come.”
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Jane on this well‑deserved honor. Her legacy continues to shape the services, opportunities, and inclusive future we are proud to provide.
