The City of West Chicago would like to thank residents, businesses, community partners, and stakeholders who contributed to the City Administrator recruitment process. Community input, both through the online survey and participation in the Community Forum, played an important role in helping shape the qualities and priorities sought in the City’s next City Administrator.
Following a thoughtful and comprehensive recruitment process that included application review, multiple interviews, a written exercise, and community engagement, the Mayor has extended an offer of employment to Viviana Ramirez for the position of City Administrator. Ms. Ramirez is currently negotiating an employment agreement with the City.
The proposed employment agreement is expected to be presented to the City Council at the March 2 City Council meeting. If approved, Ms. Ramirez is expected to begin serving in the role in early April.
The City appreciates the community’s engagement throughout this process and looks forward to this next chapter and the opportunities ahead for West Chicago.
